Just Play Products Selects Tely Labs Video Conferencing to Improve Productivity
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – September 18, 2014 – Tely Labs, the leader in simple, secure and affordable video conferencing systems, today announced that Just Play Products uses its telyHD Pro video conferencing appliances to improve collaboration and increase productivity.
Working with the world’s leading children’s entertainment brands including Disney Consumer Products, Marvel Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox and Nickelodeon, Just Play manufactures and distributes toys and personal care products to every major mass retailer throughout North America and around the world.
Just Play first purchased a pair of high-end video conferencing endpoints to maintain productivity despite travel restrictions instated following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. However, the systems were too cumbersome and expensive to allow extending the deployment to Just Play’s other remote offices. For this, Just Play required a cost-effective, user-friendly system that required minimal set-up and maintenance. The telyHD Pro from Tely Labs attracted the team at Just Play because at under $1,000, the system was affordable enough for their remote offices and all their small meeting rooms.
Simple, standards-based interoperability was a key factor for Greenberg. “Just Play uses its telyHD Pro appliances to call Polycom room-based systems at Disney for weekly video calls, where we show and discuss new product designs,” said Greenberg. “Before, we could only use our LifeSize system to connect with Disney, limiting participation. Now, anyone from any location can join the call – we just send an email invite. We’ve resolved both participation and scheduling issues for a real gain in productivity.”
